We are in the first few days of fall and I’ve been ready to pull out my cozy mugs, teas, and botanical honey’s. Today I will be introducing you all to a brand new tea company that is owned by the newlywed couple Nichole and David Rucker. Their brand is known as The Rucker Romance.

The story behind their loose-leaf tea brand is beautiful. Rooted in Black Love, this company was born from the couple’s experience in Crete, Greece, during their honeymoon. I feel in love with their story and passion for providing us with an experience of historical herbs known for soothing the gut, nervous system, and soul.

What is Inside Cretan Embrace Tea?

Cretan Embrace by The Rucker Romance is a botanical blend built around organic honeybush tea and Greek mountain tea (sideritis). The rest of this masterpiece is intentionally formulated with organic lemon balm, lemon verbena, fennel seed, rose petals, and licorice root.

Nichole informed me of their experience in Cretan and how their people sipped Greek mountain tea daily. Even children indulged! The benefits alone includes harmonizing our nervous and digestive systems together.

While I never had Greek Mountain tea, I recognized the rest. Those are herbs and roots are traditionally used to reduce anxiety, improve sleep, de-stress, and improve digestion before or after meals.

Then here’s the additional beauty I was not prepared for…

The natural sweetness from the honeybush tea.

Honeybush tea is a native South African herb that has been culturally preserved by our distant cousins for generations. The unique trait is the natural occurring sweetness. It lives up to it’s name for sure!

Every cup of Cretan Embrace is a cup of love with a touch of natural sweetness for individuals who are decreasing excess sugar.

Part of The Rucker Romance brand is their Wild Thyme Honey that is raw + unfiltered. There was nothing like it already in my pantry. With the subtle sweetness and floral, citrusy notes Raw honey added an extra botanical flavor profile besides the taste of ‘honey’.

How I prepared it

I followed the instructions on the back of the packaging.

Because it is mostly leaf, I let it sit in hot spring water to extract the goodness. Then, allowed it to cool to sweeten my tea further with the raw honey. Voila!

My Experience

The Rucker Romanace, Cretan Embrace tea is truly an experience I can drink in the AM to PM. I get the gentle notes of citrus and delicate flowers after a good brew. Their tea blend is in my rotation for when I desire to relax and enjoy my Little’s company.

And that’s another thing, this is a beautiful introduction tea for little children to sip on. My 5 year old steals my cup if I don’t make her one. It is a blend I’ll pull out for guests, or better yet hide from my guests.

I’ve been drinking Cretan Embrace before my meals, during, and after my meals. It’s a tea I can honestly drink all day. My favorite part is the digestive benefits. Regularly intaking herbs that support our gut is extremely important for our home.

Drinking this tea for nearly a week straight has been calming and I can feel the difference in digesting food. I enjoy that I don’t have to take bitters or earn beverages without interrupting my meals.
